Random Thoughts of an Otaku

08:42 am - Anime Boston Preparation

I have things settled upon for Anime Boston next weekend. I decided to take SuperShuttle to the Airport instead of the train. I do know it will be more expensive than the train, but I think it would get me there by 5:30-5:50 AM better than the Train. There is bridge work on Amtrak in my area starting Monday. It will add 5-15 minutes of extra time to the ride.

I am on the rooming list for the convention and will be getting a free badge along with food for the hard work of next weekend. Working 10 plus hour days to make sure a Registration runs is hard work. It won't be nearly as hard as the person who will be running it's work.

I am excited about the convention and hope to see something of the convention. The Charity Auction really excites me along with some kids who are doing the dance at the end of the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Dance is something you don't see alot in anime con masquerades. It may cause controversy, but these kids are very good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoHoPUk9pDY is where you can see their dance. I am donating some DVD's and toys to the Charity Auction. They raised $10,000 for the Central Massachusettes Chapter of the MS society. If you are into anime, stop by the auction (with Sunday membership) and bid on the items they offer.
