09:36 am - A busy week for me

As you may all know, this week is the busy week for me at work.  That means I haven't posted at all  since Sunday.  I need to get out the door to work soon, but just wanted to say hi.  I have alot ahead of me this weekend in preparation for Anime Expo, but I will try to get my plans up.  It doesn't look their is going to be a con runners dinner at AX. I guess that will get worked out in the next few days.  Will talk more tomorrow.

10:15 am - A true story of the choices we make

I read an e-mail on a cool rainy morning hear in Rednecksville, USA. It is about the story of Shay, who gets the chance to play baseball for once in his life and became a hero in his father's life because of it. I am not going to put up the glorified story from the e-mail of whether you should put this story into public discourse or not or talk about how we don't hear about the good things in life. I believe the story has some merit to it. http://www.baseball-almanac.com/poetry/po_shay.shtml is the story itself of the young man who got to play baseball and have an inside the park homerun.

09:32 am - A very undecided weekedn

I am not sure what I am going to do this weekend.  I am thinking about doing Homecoming for Towson University for the first time since I have graduated.  Next weekend, I will be home all weekend because my mom is doing an all women's weekend.  I am probably just going to get new shoes and stop by the comic book store this weekend instead.  It would be nice to go to Small Press Expo and Capclave, but money is an issue.

09:42 am - Hugo Nominating and other things

My Hugo nominating ballot is in. I want to keep things a surprise until the nominees are announced in April, so you are not going to know my nominees until then. I know I won't pick all of the nominees in every catagory. I just hope one out of the anime I nominated gets nominated in Best Dramatic Presentation-Short Form. I can only say to possible voters to nominate those shows. My more indepth thoughts on those are at the Hugo Recommends LiveJournal. One of the good things about still getting a paper ballot is that I can research the information I need and write it down on their. I will destroy my ballot once the nominees are announced.

It is not too late to become a voter for the Hugos. All you have to do is register for Nippon 2007 by June or July for the Supporting Member fee of $50. You get the convention's publications including the program book. I am an attending member even though I won't be there due to the cost of going.

Today, I will be doing some banking for the week and some light shopping. I need to get some ink cartridges for my printer. I am going to continue my New York Comic Con planning. I will also be having dinner out later on. It is a nice way to wrap my last full weekend at home until March 11-12.
