11:22 am - BSFS Meeting Thoughts

I went to the BSFS meeting yesterday and had a wonderful. I finally got to meet Eva Whitley in person, spent some good conversations with Seth Rosenberg (formerly of Katsucon) and enjoyed an evening with people I only see once or twice a year. The meeting went fairly well. I did miss talking with Hal Haag due to his passion for gaming. I think I may be doing something at Balticon. That reminds me that I need e-mail Greg who is the Balticon chair.

I also got a ride back from Dale Arnold who lives in Harford County. He chided me for viewing Aberdeen as Rednecksville, but it is as much my love Jeff Foxworthy and Blue Collar Comedy as anything else. The time change surprised me when I got home and set the clocks ahead it was almost 1 AM when I got to bed last night. I did sleep about an hour and a half later to minimize sleep loss.

I didn't push what people are hearing about Hugos or Worldcon since I didn't see any big shakers like Peggy Rae Sapienza there. I do have an interesting idea floating in my head, but I don't want to persue it yet. I was wondering though if anybody has filed for 2010. It seems like we have heard nothing about 2010 Site Selection since Smofcon. Wasn't the deadline to file to be on the ballot a month ago?
